I don't recall Cosmo being deaf. It seems like he would come inside when I called him, but so much time has passed that I can't be certain. I'm pretty open with my sexuality IRL. I tend to overshare actually. That's why I fit in so well here in the bible belt. *snort*

Well it wasn't a Pet Cemetery moment although if he were to come back now I might be a little freaked out. Maybe not as freaked out as if Karma came back since she is buried in the front yard, but still. I'm not religious but knew that some might construe what I wrote to mean something religion affirming. No offense. I just have a hard time believing that all our lives are pre planned and that god chooses which prayers to listen to and which lives to intervene in. Why send me a cat and let that 6 year old little girl be repeatedly sexually violated by every male in her household without sending her anything but genital warts, lifelong trauma, and infertility all while protecting the males from being arrested? Why let druggies spit out babies yet make good people infertile? Why do people who read some old book filled with mostly patriarchy affirming exaggerated campfire stories get to go to heaven while perfectly honest and good people in another country who don't subscribe to this particular books teachings go to hell? Why don't people question the inconsistencies in the bible? Why do people tend to praise jesus when anything good happens but let them get cancer and they start praying for it to go away. If it's His plan, then why not accept it? And now I should get off that soap box before it breaks. Sorry

I used to bite my toenails too, not that I especially wanted to share, just give you a sign of solidarity. I can't imagine REACHING my toenails now, even though I am pretty flexible (despite the fact that insulin has now made me fat, I can scare people with my flexibility).

I really like these! And I have comments. My partner teaches at a community college, so I'm always interested to hear stories of how people get to CCs and where they go from there.

And was your cat Cosmo deaf? My neighbors growing up had a deaf white cat with different-colored eyes and again I've read something (that might be totally spurious) about how those often go together.
