"I don't know it now, but this won't be the last time I force someone else to try on my pain just so I can see how it looks."
I got to read another book for the BlogHer Book Club, and loved it, couldn't put it down actually, but life threw some more curveballs and I have not made time to get on the computer and write about this book. The Rules of Inheritance by Claire Bidwell Smith is a memoir of her life and the loss of her parents both of whom died from cancer. It is incredibly heartbreaking but such a well written and interesting story that I highly recommend you check out this book. As someone currently going through my own grief process, The Rules of Inheritance was very triggering, but also cathartic. I would read something and then cry and then come back and read more.
"My grief fills rooms. It takes up space and it sucks out the air. It leaves no room for anyone else." - a quote from The Rules of Inheritance by Claire Bidwell Smith which explains exactly how I feel right now
