Two Birds, One Stone

Apparently I'm so fabulous that people just can't help but to bully/harass me and steal my shit. I'm fed up with people stealing my shit. And the other stuff too. So to quote (with permission) another fabulous blogger (FosterAbba over at The Final Maze) who also has this problem:

Cyber bullying is a crime on both state and federal levels.

The federal law states:

Whoever...makes a telephone call or utilizes a telecommunications device, whether or not conversation or communication ensues, without disclosing his identity and with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any person at the called number or who receives the communications;...shall be fined under title 18 or imprisoned not more than two years, or both. [47 U.S.C. 223(a)(1)(C)]

Forty-seven states now have laws that include electronic communications in their stalking and harassment laws. Many of these states take this behavior seriously. Missouri, for example, has made this type of conduct a felony.

Furthermore, my blogs consist of copyrighted material, and under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (Pub.l. 105.304, 17 USC 512 et seq.) I demand that you cease and desist from redistributing my copyrighted materials, and that you immediately remove all copies of my copyrighted materials from the Internet.
Stop harassing me & my family!
Stop stealing my copyrighted content!

That means you, OrlandoNewsCenter and whoever else is out there doing the same thing. I have already asked nicely. Now stop stealing my shit. Thanks, and have a nice day.

Happy Easter

Easter Gift Ideas

This year I have requested that the Easter Bunny refrain from using that awful fake grass crap that ends up randomly strew about the house clogging up the vacuum. The EB is happy to oblige; the Grandparents, not so much. The Easter Bunny has also decided to forgo cavity inducing and blood sugar spiking sweets. Once all the fun was banned, this is what was left:

Can't wait to wear my new rain boots (coveting these owl rainboots). Thank you Easter Bunny! Now, why didn't you make the bed before you took those pictures?

Fostering Friday: Tales from the Land of Foster Care

Got a call today (Thursday) to take Shadow back (she has to be moved by the end of the week - Friday!). If you have no idea what I'm talking about, go read these links:

Nov 17th 2009 Lurking in the Shadows

Nov 22nd 2009 Wherein she invades my privacy, again

Nov 24th 2009 Lusting after everyone

Dec 14th She's still driving me bonkers

Dec 26th 2009 Smothering the Baby & Ruining Santa Claus

Jan 3rd 2010 "Shadow is Shadow. Fetal Alcohol Effects? I don't know and we still haven't heard from her SW. It's been two months and nothing ... no homevisits, no ISP, no ILP, no doctor appointments, no counseling, no sibling visits. I'm beyond furious."

Jan 16th 2010 Finally a Homevisit for Shadow

Jan 21st 2010 Standing up to the Worker

Jan 22nd 2010 Shadow's Gone

By the way, my answer was Hell to the HELL NO. They wanted me to take her for "just a little while" until they can get an ILP place (like a group home kinda) to take her (she's 20 now and not in school - she did graduate high school, so that's a good thing). The worker actually said "you'd just have to do a little babysitting because she doesn't work or go to school". Right. And have false allegations and worry about her hurting the kids again. No thank you. If they would have gotten her the help she needed back 15 years ago when CPS first became involved with Shadow's family, this whole course of events could have been altered for the (admittedly, only slightly) better. I still remember when her worker said it was just too late for Shadow because she came into the system too late in the game. Like her entire history with the system, from age 5, didn't exist. Why did they wait so long to do a Psych Eval? Why, knowing that she has attachment issues and BirthMom admitted to drinking and doing drugs the entire pregnancy, why not go ahead and get her the help from the get-go? From age 5. Hell, from age 15 when she came back into care from the relative placement? Not just that free counseling shit, but real quality help. The system failed Shadow. And that sucky ass worker has now been promoted. She's our new Resource Worker.

I Hate You Mental Illness

I hate you for taking the life of my Maternal Great Grandfather. I hate you for taking the life of my Paternal Grandfather. I hate you for controlling my Maternal Grandmother. I hate you for what you've done to my sister. I hate you for polluting our gene pool (FYI - swim at your own risk - gene pool known to be hazardous to your health). I hate you for making so many people struggle every day. And now, I hate you for grabbing hold of my Daddy. I hate you mental illness! And I hate living in fear of you catching me too.
