Today was my 35th birthday and while my family did their best to make sure that I had a good birthday, I struggled with the darkness of depression. It had been sneaking up for a week or so, but really strangled me today. The fog did seem to lift a little though, when we went to the fireworks show on the lake. I love the water! Please excuse the following firework's pictures as it was my first time photographing them with my new camera. I still have a lot to learn, obviously. Your 35th sounds like my 30th (that everyone forgot about). I'm praying about the depression. I know how overpowering it can be.
Your pics look SO much better than mine. We went to the local lake, too. It was rather disappointing as compared to past years, but it made Bam Bam happy nonetheless. Parking is usually a HUGE nightmare as is traffic, but we actually did pretty good with that part this year.
You did great on the fireworks. They are hard! I set up my camera Saturday night and then totally blew it off. Now I'm regretting not getting a few pictures.

Thankfully the fog had lifted mostly by the end of the night and today it's fine, as if the fog never existed. Weird.
Apologies from being late in the game, but a HUGE happy birthday to you lovely!! Hope the next year brings beautiful beginnings and lots of unexpected joys.
