Christmas Outfits

BabyGirl's dress was a hand-me-down and it was short sleeved, so I put her leg warmers on her arms a la 80s fashion, and voila she had long sleeves. Of course she pulled them off about as fast as she pulls off her socks, which is at lightening speed.

The past few weeks in pictures

So, it's colder'n a witch's tit in mid January. And it's snowing, but school wasn't canceled. WTF? This is the south! It hasn't been above freezing in ... I don't know, forever, and this morning was 18 flipping degrees as I drove TheDaugher to school. In her PJs because of course today is pajama & movie day (like we couldn't have done that at home?). So other than it being bitterly cold, what else is new?

My sugar dropped to 57 and 3 cookies, a soda, and a turkey sandwich later and it still wouldn't come up to a normal level. My HbA1C came back 5 something. I haven't taken metformin in weeks. Remember, I was supposed to be diabetic?

Anyway, the past few weeks in review:

I got a new camera and bugged the crap out of everyone trying to figure out how to use the dern thing.

We (okay Darwin and the kids) put up the Christmas tree.

We (okay, that was Darwin too) bought a new computer chair on Black Friday.

And the kids promptly took it over.

We (for the rest of this post, just assume that means I wrote a Honey Do List and Darwin did the actual work) hung energy efficient black out curtains in BabyBoy & BabyGirls room in hopes they would sleep past 5am.

We grilled out (Darwin took this photo. I was taking a nap.). I think he may get a new grill for his birthday. Shhh

And played hockey in the house with a tiny soccer ball. There were also games of Monopoly, Bananagrams, and Uno.

Then we took Darwin to the airport.

And spent the next week passing around sick germs while I played with my camera. So, what have you been up to?

Christmas Tree

Normally we move furniture out of the living room in order to make room for the Christmas tree, but this year we just squeezed it into the corner. Not sure that was the best idea.

Wonky

Sorry if the blog looks a little wonky today. I was working on changing some things up, then had to stop and take Darwin to the airport. Haven't been able to be online much in a while, so have been trying to get caught up reading everyone else. Anyway, apologies for the wonkiness around these here parts. Upcoming post will include: my trip to the endocrinologist, this year's christmas tree, black friday bargins, gift ideas for christmas, more uses for formula cans, and pictures ... lots and lots of pictures (with my NEW BABY).

Build a Snowperson

Our weather has been all over the place as of late. In the 70s and raining one day, then in the 30s and dry as a bone the next. Seems we won't be getting snow any time soon, unfortunately. The kids can't wait to play in the snow and build snow people. They've been building them online in the meantime. I admit I have too, and warning - it's addictive.
